"Another World is Possible,
Another U.S. is Necessary"

US Social Forum

This was the motto of the United States Social Forum in Atlanta last June. On today’s show we will hear from Alice Lovelace who was the lead organizer.

The U.S. Social Forum in Atlanta was the first ever. Over 10,000 people gathered around 1,000 organizations from every state in the U.S., and from 68 countries around the world. It was inspired by the World Social Forums in Brazil, India and Kenya. Alice Lovelace lives in Atlanta where she is as a poet and civil rights activist. (18:32min)
